Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it may be used, and the limited circumstances in which another service may receive it. By continuing to use Fulton County Criminal History, you accept the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered in a search tool is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Our systems do not keep a separate log of the terms placed in those fields.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email may be retained for as long as needed to answer it. Access stays within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.

Data We Gather Automatically

Standard technical details can be recorded when a page loads:

  • Page-view dates and times
  • The referring site, when one is supplied
  • Browser name and version
  • Device class and operating system
  • Pages viewed and approximate time spent
  • The device's assigned IP address

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help analytics services combine traffic data, such as which pages receive visits and where sessions end. A browser can reject or remove cookies, though blocking them may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Routing a search request to the selected outside service
  • Diagnosing errors and performance problems
  • Operating and delivering the site's pages
  • Measuring which resources visitors use
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Fulton County Criminal History does not host, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Fulton County courts, Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, Sheriff, and Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Public Website. Visitor data is not used to create a report about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms apply to information submitted through those tools. Each partner chooses its own retention and disclosure practices, which are beyond our control. Review those terms before entering a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Fulton County offices, Pennsylvania agencies, court portals, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check it before providing personal information.

Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their collection does not run under this policy.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Analytics providers that measure site traffic and performance
  • Search providers that process a query submitted to their tool
  • Advertising networks serving material on the pages
  • A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards protect information in our control. No internet system is completely secure, so absolute protection or freedom from a breach cannot be guaranteed.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such data is identified, a deletion request may be made.

Your Data Rights

Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law governs access to records held by public agencies, while 18 Pa.C.S. § 9121 addresses dissemination of criminal history information. Those laws do not turn this private site's visitor data into a county record. Subject to applicable law and technical limits, a visitor may:

  • Request access to personal data held about that visitor
  • Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
  • Seek deletion where retention is not legally required
  • Object to certain processing when that option applies

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as site practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with its new effective date.
